Restriction of vaping, particularly among underage youth, has been a concern taken seriously by the Canadian vaping industry. This ensures restrictions on promotion and selling. Under the Tobacco and Vaping Products Act (TVPA), the minimum federal age for buying or using vaping products is 18 years. This law covers all nicotine and non-nicotine vaping products.
To combat vaping among youth and underage youth more rigorously, some provinces have imposed stricter regulations and set the standards to 19 and 21. This also applies to Advertising and Packaging requirements.
The individual provinces set the standard age limit as follows:
Province/Territory |
Minimum Age for Vaping |
Alberta |
18 |
British Columbia |
19 |
Manitoba |
18 |
New Brunswick |
19 |
Newfoundland and Labrador |
19 |
Northwest Territories |
19 |
Nova Scotia |
19 |
Nunavut |
19 |
Ontario |
19 |
Prince Edward Island |
21 |
Quebec |
18 |
Saskatchewan |
18 |
Yukon |
19 |
As you can see, Prince Edward Island is the highest with 21 years, the highest among all. All other regions except Alberta, Quebec and Saskatchewan( limit is 18 years) have set he standard to 19 years.
At the time of Delivery, you will be required to provide a valid ID for verification as per the above provinces' set limit. Failing to provide will lead to a failed delivery. The same applies to our in-store shopping. We are mandated to check your ID before selling any vape.
You are also prevented from accessing any vaping website if your age limit does not match the set provincial limit.
